Guerrilla marketing – examples from the street
Guerrilla marketing is about surprising people in everyday life with an idea in a place where nobody expects advertising. Here are examples from campaigns we have carried out ourselves in Sweden.

Lågt på Slussen – Guldägget 2006
For Glocalnet and Garbergs we hung a banner over the roadworks barrier at Slussen: things were low there – but still not as low as Glocalnet. The campaign won Guldägget in the Alternative Media category.
Midsummer in the city – Gröna Lund
Ahead of Midsummer 2005 we put up small maypoles at strategic spots around Stockholm for Gröna Lund and Åkestam Holst. The campaign led to several newspaper articles.
Lie low this summer – Glocalnet
We hung up hammocks and laid out beach towels at Swedish holiday resorts. People queued to try lying low.
Star shower over Stockholm – Star FM
Ahead of the launch of the radio station Star FM we hung 20,000 stars around Stockholm.
Love the curve! – IKEA
Ahead of the reopening of IKEA at Kungens kurva we placed IKEA furniture at strategic spots along the road.
What makes a good guerrilla campaign?
A simple idea that can be understood in a second, a place that reinforces the message and an execution that holds all the way. The best campaigns are photographed, shared and written about – and then they reach far more people than those who passed by.
